Rafael Scasserra is an Italian Canadian multi-disciplinary artist born on June 22nd, 1971.
His creative journey predominantly unfolds through the mediums of abstract and contemporary painting. Rafael’s approach goes far beyond aesthetics; his art is a meditation in motion. Rafael describes himself as a lover of all things artistic, spanning the areas of music, visual arts, and the craft of hairdressing. His artistic journey started at the age of 6 with a passion for cartooning. By the age of 10, he enrolled, at the Canadian Conservatory of Music, then ascended to the role of a studio percussionist by the age of 16. Over the course of 33 years, Rafael has graced the worlds of fashion and hair styling with his unparalleled expertise and creativity.
Rafael’s editorial work has been in the pages of numerous fashion and hair magazines, including Modern Women, Style Magazine, Flare, Canadian Hairdresser, Salon Magazine etc.
His artwork has been showcased in 90 countries through HGTV, collaborating with many exceptional designers. Rafael has a strong following of private, public and corporate art collectors in Canada, the USA, and Europe who share a love for his artwork, adding to his artistic reputation.
